CVE-2025-30698Network attack vector

Data compromise and service interruption via bounds overflow

Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Memory corruption in Oracle Java SE and GraalVM's 2D component allows remote attackers to read or alter data and interrupt service. The native Blit operation calculates source and destination bounds and coordinate offsets without rejecting integer overflow, allowing extreme Graphics.copyArea values to corrupt heap memory. Exposure requires a client deployment that loads untrusted code and relies on the Java sandbox; trusted-code-only server deployments are unaffected.
