Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server allows remote authenticated users to crash or hang the service via MySQL protocol requests. Oracle identifies the Server Optimizer as the affected component but has not published the request form, code path, or incorrect operation that triggers the failure. A low-privileged MySQL account and network access are required; successful exploitation is limited to a server hang or repeatedly reproducible crash.
