Improper exceptional-condition handling in Junos OS on MX Series allows remote attackers to hang a PFE with high-rate GRE traffic. During decapsulation, the PFE fails to handle an exceptional parcel containing more than 512 bytes of accompanying data and enters a hang. No authentication or user interaction is required; forwarding through the affected PFE stops, while confidentiality and integrity remain unaffected.
