CVE-2025-30656Network attack vector

Unauthenticated FPC crash via malformed SIP INVITEs

Published Apr 9, 2025 · Updated Apr 10, 2025

Memory corruption in the SIP ALG of affected Juniper Networks Junos OS releases allows remote attackers to crash an FPC with crafted SIP INVITEs. The Packet Forwarding Engine mishandles specially formatted SIP INVITE elements during SIP ALG processing, corrupting memory and restarting the affected FPC. The SIP ALG must process the traffic; repeated messages can sustain the service interruption after automatic FPC recovery.
