Stored XSS via forged authenticated request
Published Mar 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in the Pro Rank Tracker WordPress plugin 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to plant stored XSS through a crafted request. Patchstack has not disclosed the affected request handler, input field, or missing request-validation operation behind the persistent script payload. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to submit the attacker-controlled request; viewing the stored content then executes script in the plugin's WordPress origin.
