CVE-2025-30506

Local privilege escalation via uncontrolled search path

Published Nov 11, 2025 · Updated Nov 11, 2025

Uncontrolled search path in Intel Driver & Support Assistant before 25.2 allows local users to execute code with elevated privileges. The application searches an uncontrolled path for a resource, allowing attacker-controlled code to be selected, but Intel does not identify the resource or executable locus. Authenticated low-privileged access and active user interaction are required, and successful exploitation executes code with elevated privileges.
