Unauthenticated service interruption via improper validation
Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Improper input validation in the Security component of Apple operating systems allows remote attackers to interrupt service. Apple has disclosed only that validation logic mishandles remote input; no public advisory identifies the protocol, request type, or failing code path. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is denial of service rather than data access or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
