Sandbox bypass via dynamic library injection
Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Jul 8, 2026
Library injection in Apple macOS dyld before 13.7.5, 14.7.5, or 15.4 allows local users to launch sandboxed apps without restrictions. dyld accepts an injected library when launching an app that appears sandboxed; Apple has not disclosed the exact missing restriction. The app must be launched locally, and the bounded consequence is bypass of its intended sandbox restrictions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
