Protected user-data access via Automator permission failure
Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Improper access control in Apple macOS allows attackers to access protected user data through the Automator component. Apple identifies Automator as the locus but has not published the vulnerable code path or incorrect permission operation; the repair removed code and added checks. Exploitation requires an app able to reach that undisclosed path, and the bounded consequence is access to protected user data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
