Authentication bypass via unnormalized path allowlist
Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 1, 2025
Path traversal in GuoMinJim PersonManage 1.0 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via crafted request paths containing ../ segments. Login preHandle tests the unnormalized request path for allowlisted registration keywords using substring matching, so traversal segments can make a protected route satisfy the exemption. An unauthenticated network request can therefore reach protected application functions without a valid session, while the published evidence does not establish broader file-system access.
