CVE-2025-30418

Code execution via CheckPins out-of-bounds write

Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2025

Memory corruption in Circuit Design Suite 14.3.0 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary code via a crafted .sym file. The Symbol Editor's CheckPins() routine writes beyond a buffer while parsing untrusted .sym content because its bounds check is inadequate. Exploitation requires a user to open the file, after which code can run with the user's application privileges or application memory can be disclosed.
