CVE-2025-30354

Arbitrary code execution via Safe Mode bypass

Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 2, 2025

Sandbox bypass in Bruno before 1.39.1 allows context-dependent attackers to execute system commands through a malicious collection. The assertion runtime executes untrusted assert expressions with Developer Mode privileges instead of enforcing the selected Safe Mode sandbox when a single request is sent. Exploitation requires a user to import and open the collection and run its crafted request, after which the expression gains filesystem and system-command access.
