Unauthorized field enumeration via unfiltered search columns
Published Mar 26, 2025 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Information disclosure in Directus allows remote attackers with collection access to enumerate hidden field contents via search. The search query builder injects WHERE clauses across searchable string and numeric columns without removing fields excluded by read permissions. Collection read access, including a configured public role, is sufficient to infer concealed values from result matches, including email addresses, password hashes, or access tokens.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
