Application crash
Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Jun 10, 2025
NULL pointer dereference in Adobe InDesign ID20.2 and earlier and ID19.5.3 and earlier allows attackers to crash the app via a malicious file. The public advisory does not identify the file parser or code locus that dereferences the null pointer while processing untrusted document data. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file, and the documented consequence is an application crash that interrupts the victim's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
