Security bypass via path traversal
Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated May 9, 2025
Path traversal in Adobe ColdFusion 2025.0, 2023 Update 12, and 2021 Update 18 allows remote authenticated users to write or delete files. Adobe has not disclosed the affected component, pathname parameter, or validation error that permits traversal outside its intended directory. Exploitation requires high-privilege access over the network, enabling security-control bypass and unauthorized file changes without user interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
