Improper certificate validation in QNAP File Station 5 before 5.5.6.4847 allows remote authenticated users to disrupt NAS services. QNAP has not published which certificate-processing path accepts an untrusted certificate or which validation check is missing. A valid user account and network access are required; the vendor assessment bounds the reported consequence to service interruption.
