CVE-2025-30225Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Asset denial via unconsumed S3 response streams

Published Mar 26, 2025 · Updated Mar 26, 2025

Denial of service in Directus 9.22.0 and later before 11.5.0 allows remote attackers to block S3-backed assets via malformed transforms. In asset transformation handling, Sharp rejects invalid dimensions before the S3 response stream is consumed, leaving NodeHttpHandler sockets occupied until the configured socket pool is exhausted. The instance must use S3 storage and expose an asset identifier; a concurrent burst then makes assets return HTTP 403 for public and administrative policies.
