Arbitrary file read via enabled LOCAL INFILE
Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated May 29, 2025
Information disclosure in MyDumper before 0.18.2-8 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary client files through a malicious MySQL server. configure_connection unconditionally enables MYSQL_OPT_LOCAL_INFILE, allowing crafted LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE responses to retrieve readable client files. Exploitation requires an operator to connect MyDumper to an attacker-controlled server, which receives the requested file contents.
