CVE-2025-3017Public exploit

Test-tool crash via mismatched array length

Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Apr 1, 2025

Out-of-bounds access in TA-Lib 0.6.0 through 0.6.4 allows local users to crash ta_regtest during MINMAX reference testing. The test_minmax.c reference table assigns testSerie9 the larger testSerie10 element count, so setInputBuffer reads beyond the global array. Reachability requires local execution of the development test tool; the demonstrated consequence is an AddressSanitizer-detected read followed by process abort, not a library API write primitive.
