CVE-2025-30161Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator credential theft via unescaped form fields

Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Mar 31, 2025

Stored XSS in OpenEMR before 7.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to steal administrator credentials through a crafted Bronchitis form. The form view writes user-controlled Ops Appearance and Oropharynx Appearance values into HTML value attributes after only applying stripslashes(), so a quote can inject an event handler. The attacker must be able to edit the form, and an administrator must later open or focus the malicious field for script execution in that administrator's session.
