File disclosure and PHP execution via snippet traversal
Published May 13, 2025 · Updated May 13, 2025
Path traversal in Content Folder Kirby allows remote attackers to access server files outside the snippets root through dynamic names. The snippet() helper and $kirby->snippet() method resolve untrusted names containing ../ or slash separators without confirming that the resulting path remains beneath the configured snippets root. A site must pass request- or user-controlled data into a dynamic snippet name; successful traversal can disclose PHP-readable files and execute PHP code found at the selected path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 3.10.0, < 3.10.1.2
- Affected versionversion=< 3.9.8.3
