CVE-2025-30143Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Reflected XSS via variable-chaining rule bypass

Published Mar 17, 2025 · Updated Mar 17, 2025

Cross-site scripting in Akamai App & API Protector before 2024-12-10 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a victim's browser. Rule 3000216 v1 fails to recognize URL-encoded variable declarations and assignments that alias built-in JavaScript functions and properties. Exploitation requires a protected origin to reflect the crafted parameter; successful delivery runs script in the origin's browser context.
