Recorded and live video disclosure via unauthenticated interfaces
Published Jul 25, 2025 · Updated Jul 25, 2025
Missing authentication in IROAD Dashcam FX2 HTTP and RTSP interfaces allows remote attackers to read stored files and view live footage. The HTTP service returns recordings from /mnt/extsd/event/ without an access check, while RTSP port 8554 serves live video without authenticating the requester. Network reachability to the dashcam is sufficient; no device registration, credentials, or user interaction is required, and the reported consequence is exposure of recorded and live video.
