CVE-2025-30114Network attack vector

Authentication bypass via spoofed paired-device MAC address

Published Mar 18, 2025 · Updated Mar 21, 2025

Authentication bypass in the Forvia Hella HELLA Driving Recorder DR 820 allows remote attackers to access dashcam features over its network. The pairing logic uses the connecting device's MAC address as its sole authorization decision and accepts a spoofed address obtained by network scanning. Network access and knowledge of a previously paired MAC address are required; successful exploitation grants full feature access without completing pairing.
