Employee-card over-crediting via reusable transaction references
Published Mar 26, 2025 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Business logic error in OPC cardsystems WebApp Aufwertung 2.1.0 allows remote attackers to over-credit employee cards. The /api start-payment action accepts a caller-supplied ref without binding it uniquely to an amount, so a low-value payment can confirm an earlier high-value transaction. No privileges or user interaction are required; successful abuse credits more money to a card than the completed payment funded.
