Memory corruption via netconfig argument overflow

Stack-based buffer overflow in NovaStar CX40 Pro 2.44.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via netconfig arguments. The NetFilter Utility's /usr/nova/bin/netconfig program processes the cmd, netmask, pipeout, or nettask argument through getopt without enforcing the destination stack buffer's bounds. The attack requires low privileges and adjacent-network access, while public records do not establish whether successful corruption causes a crash or code execution.
