CVE-2025-30038

Session ID disclosure via Zone.Identifier metadata

Published Aug 27, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025

Information disclosure in CGM CLININET before 2025.MS1 allows attackers to read session IDs from downloaded-file metadata. CLININET includes the session identifier in source metadata that Windows preserves in the downloaded file's Zone.Identifier NTFS alternate data stream. Exploitation requires high privileges, adjacent-network access, and active user interaction, and the disclosure is limited to session data embedded in the saved file.
