Account takeover via unauthenticated session generation
Published Mar 2, 2026 · Updated Mar 2, 2026
Authentication bypass in CGM CLININET before 2025.MS4 allows remote attackers to take over any active account using only its username. The session-generation API accepts a username and issues a valid session ID without verifying a password or other credential. An unauthenticated attacker on an adjacent network gains the targeted user's privileges, including access to the hospital system.
