CVE-2025-30034

Service interruption via loopback assertion trigger

Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Aug 12, 2025

Reachable assertion in Siemens SIMATIC RTLS Locating Manager before 3.3 allows local users to interrupt service via loopback input. The listener on the local loopback interface insufficiently validates received data, allowing crafted input to trigger an assertion that interrupts the affected process. No product authentication or user interaction is required, but the attacker must send traffic from the host to the loopback-only port.
