Stored cross-site scripting via unescaped DNS value
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Hestia Control Panel before 1.9.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via DNS records. The list_dns_rec.php template places the DNS record value in the data-sort-value HTML attribute without context-appropriate encoding, so a double quote terminates the attribute and admits a script payload. A low-privilege account must create the record, and execution occurs when another user, including an administrator, views the DNS record list.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
