Superadmin root command execution via unescaped scheduler parameters
Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Dec 27, 2025
OS command injection in Xorcom CompletePBX 5.2.35 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The scheduler save_task method inserts the user-controlled parameters field into a shell command without escaping or validation. Only the built-in superadmin account can reach the vulnerable task operation; even a newly created maximum-privilege user cannot trigger it.
