Database connection disclosure via database failure handling
Published Aug 26, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Information disclosure in Mahara before 24.04.9 allows local users to read database connection details during database outages. The database failure path exposes the database host IP address, database name, and database username instead of suppressing connection settings. Exposure requires the database server to be temporarily down or too busy; Mahara has not published the responsible file or function.
