Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Media allows remote attackers to execute code after a user opens a crafted file. Windows Media writes beyond a heap allocation while processing attacker-controlled media data; Microsoft has not published the affected parser or malformed field. Exploitation requires user interaction, and successful execution runs with the privileges of the application processing the file.
