Continued access via cache-only session deletion
Published Mar 28, 2025 · Updated Mar 28, 2025
Session revocation failure in authentik before 2024.12.4 or 2025.2.3 allows remote authenticated users to retain deleted sessions. The AuthenticatedSession deletion signal and user-deactivation path always delete a cache key instead of invoking the configured database SessionStore. The flaw requires the non-default database session backend; deleting a session, deleting its user, or marking the user inactive leaves existing access intact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
