Incorrect command results via ignored SETINFO timeout
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
Improper input validation in Redis go-redis allows remote attackers to cause application commands to receive incorrect Redis responses. During baseClient.initConn, the CLIENT SETINFO pipeline ignores a non-Redis timeout error and leaves its unread reply queued for a later command. Reachability requires identity transmission and a SETINFO timeout from connectivity problems or aggressive deadlines; sticky connections and pipelines can then misassociate responses persistently.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 9.5.1, < 9.5.5
