CVE-2025-29891Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Route behavior alteration via mixed-case HTTP parameters

Published Mar 12, 2025 · Updated Mar 19, 2025

Header injection in affected Apache Camel releases allows remote attackers to alter route behavior through crafted HTTP parameters. DefaultHeaderFilterStrategy checks only specific case variants, so mixed-case Camel parameters are promoted into privileged message headers. Reachability requires an HTTP-exposed route using a susceptible downstream component; with camel-exec, an injected header can replace the configured executable and run an OS command.
