Out-of-bounds read in QNAP File Station 5 5.5.x before 5.5.6.4847 allows local users with administrator access to obtain secret data. QNAP has not published the affected code path, input format, or boundary-checking error that causes File Station 5 to read beyond the intended buffer. Exploitation requires a local administrator account and passive user interaction, and the reported consequence is limited to disclosure of data in process memory.
