Code execution via DOC parser type confusion

Type confusion in Hancom Office 2018 through 2024 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted DOC file. The DOC parser fails to validate user-supplied data before treating it as an incompatible object type, corrupting the current process state. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and successful exploitation runs code in the current process context.
