Local security-feature bypass via incomplete input blocklist
Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Security-feature bypass in Microsoft OneNote and affected Office releases allows local users to defeat OneNote input restrictions. Microsoft attributes the bypass to an incomplete list of disallowed inputs but has not identified the affected processing locus or omitted values. The attacker must act locally and obtain user interaction with attacker-controlled input before OneNote's intended protection is bypassed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
