Stored XSS via unsanitized registration username
Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Mar 31, 2025
Stored XSS in WCMS 11 Registration allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript through a crafted username. The setregister action accepts the Username field for a registration record without neutralizing browser-active content, which is later rendered in the administrative User Module. The published proof of concept requires privileged access to submit the record and an administrator to open that module; execution is confined to the administrator's browser context.
