CVE-2025-29783

Remote code execution via network pickle deserialization

Published Mar 19, 2025 · Updated Mar 22, 2025

Unsafe deserialization in vLLM 0.6.5 through 0.7.3 allows remote attackers to execute code through Mooncake's ZMQ/TCP channel. MooncakePipe._recv_impl receives raw tensor bytes from the transfer engine and passes them directly to pickle.loads without validation. Only deployments configured for Mooncake distributed KV transfer are exposed; access to the ZeroMQ channel permits arbitrary code execution on a distributed host.
