Authenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Mar 31, 2025 · Updated Mar 31, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in WCMS 11 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through the Article Publishing Page. The CKEditor image-upload handler accepts a multipart upload named upload with a .php filename and an image/png media type, then makes the file accessible for execution. Access to the publishing backend and a valid PHP session are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied PHP in the web server context.
