Account identity collision via cross-role email reuse
Published Mar 13, 2025 · Updated Mar 13, 2025
Improper authentication in Froxlor before 2.2.6 allows remote authenticated users to create accounts using another account's email address. The Admins and Customers API commands accept email values without enforcing uniqueness across administrator and customer records. A reseller or customer with account-creation rights can cause ambiguous account identification, with potential account takeover or privilege escalation reported downstream.
