Unauthorized account changes via cross-origin POST
Published Apr 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Commercify 1.0 allows remote attackers to alter account data through an authenticated user's browser. The published proof of concept targets /update_settings with username and email fields, but the documented test received HTTP 404 and describes the endpoint as environment-dependent. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to load attacker-controlled HTML; the public material does not demonstrate a successful state change.
