CVE-2025-29627Public exploit

Physical privilege escalation via persistent biometric session

Published Jun 9, 2025 · Updated Jun 9, 2025

Improper authentication in KeeperChat iOS 5.8.8 allows physically proximate attackers to gain unauthorized account access via Face ID. The biometric module preserves usable session state across logout, password changes, and app reinstallation instead of requiring credential revalidation. Exploitation requires temporary physical access to an unlocked device with Face ID already configured and exposes the victim's KeeperChat account.
