Classpath file disclosure via unfiltered template traversal
Published Mar 30, 2025 · Updated Mar 31, 2025
Path traversal in OpenSolon Solon 3.0 and 3.1 allows remote authenticated users to read classpath files through a crafted template. RenderManager passes the unfiltered ModelAndView template to BeetlRender, which joins and renders the requested classpath resource without rejecting parent-directory sequences. Reachability requires an application route that places request input in ModelAndView and uses the Beetl renderer; disclosed access is limited to readable classpath content.
