CVE-2025-29570Public exploit

Privilege escalation via hard-coded firmware marker

Published Apr 3, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2025

Firmware validation bypass in Shenzhen Libituo LBT-T300-T400 3.2 allows local users to install malicious firmware images. The rc binary's tftp_image_check function accepts an image when its first four bytes equal R3G2, treating a hard-coded marker as integrity verification. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and a crafted update image; the installed image can execute arbitrary commands or interrupt the router.
