CVE-2025-2954Public exploit

Arbitrary file write via unchecked destination path

Published Mar 30, 2025 · Updated Mar 31, 2025

Improper access control in OpenManus 2025.3.0 through 2025.3.13 allows local users to write arbitrary files through FileSaver. The execute method in app/tool/file_saver.py accepts a prompt-supplied target path and content, then writes them without validating or restricting the destination. A low-privileged local user must be able to invoke the file-saving tool; successful use changes files writable by the OpenManus process.
