Authenticated command execution via ping6 destination injection

Command injection in D-Link DSL-7740C firmware DSL7740C.V6.TR069.20211230 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The SSH and Telnet ping6 test passes the supplied destination to a shell command without neutralizing metacharacters, so || starts an injected command. Administrative credentials and access to either management interface are required; successful exploitation grants elevated control of the device.
