Administrator access via predictable default credentials
Published Aug 25, 2025 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Use of default credentials in D-Link DSL-7740C firmware DSL7740C.V6.TR069.20211230 allows remote attackers to access the Administrator account. The affected build retains default credentials on that account, so repeated login attempts can discover credentials accepted by the management interface. Network access to the interface is required; published impact is limited to unauthorized access and potential disclosure, with no documented data modification or service interruption.
